They say in real estate, it’s all about location, location, location. Likewise, timing is the key ingredient to finding love. Timing is EVERYTHING. For Adam and Sammie, this certainly was true.

They both studied at Cal Poly State University, and at one point, they think they may have actually had a class together too. It was likely their paths crossed through the years at school together, but it wasn’t until a few years following they would meet.

At a mutual friend’s graduation party, Adam arrived early and Sammie was the first to greet him. She instantly caught his attention and as the hours passed, they chatted and began piecing together their resembling paths. Unbeknownst to them, as they caught up on their pasts, a future together was beginning…
A few years following this night, Adam planned a surprise proposal to Sammie….
The two had JUST signed papers for a home to purchase, but Adam decided to throw Sammie for a loop and said he needed to check a few things still. She met him at the home, frazzled and a bit confused, and went around the house with him to do another ‘look’ at things in hopes to ease Adam’s mind…
Adam’s plan was just around the corner. Underneath the porch where he strung lights up for the night, he asked Sammie to be his forever. Surprised, confused, and everything in between…Sammie said yes.

The timing was perfect.
For their engagement session, we met up in beautiful San Luis Obispo, a place they both love and also where Adam grew up. It was the PERFECT setting for these two!
Oh Sammie, you are GORGEOUS!!!
For the session, Adam brought along a few of his family’s vintage trucks. Below is their 1931 Ford Model A….LOVE!
One of my favorites!!!
As the sun began to set over the hills, we drove the 1938 Chevy Pickup out for some pictures at sunset…
Love these two lovebirds!
Love the pops of color with the blue truck and red dress!
I love this black and white of these two as the sun was just setting behind the hills of Edna Valley. A perfect end to the session, and a beautiful beginning of life together…
So honored to have spent the day in San Luis with you two (such a blast!)…and can’t wait to document your wedding next April! : )
