A few weeks ago while I was in California for a wedding shoot, I got to sneak in a a quick portrait session with the Pedreiro family! I can’t even tell you how ridiculously sweet this family is. When Kenzie jumped out of the truck and ran over to give me a hug in her hot pink boots, I about melted! This was an especially fun shoot for me because it was the first time I got to meet the newest member of their family, Eli. Oh. My. Goodness. You guys, this sweet little man is SO darling with his big chocolate eyes and whispy brown hair. Just know you have been warned for the impending cuteness below!

But this little man was a tough nut to crack for a smile. I pulled out all the stops, from animal sounds – dog barks, horse neighs, monkey chatter – to peek-a-boo game and none of my typical tricks seemed to work. Then Cassidy asked Kenzie to say ‘the thing’ to brother that makes him laugh. You guys, you know the scene from the movie House Bunny where she lowers her voice to remember people’s names? So what the heck am I talking about this movie for…okay, I’m about to get to that. I turned to Kenzie, with her yellow bow in her hair, and she smiled and then in her deepest voice bellowed, “Wilson!!!”, just like on the movie! I about fell over laughing, and Eli couldn’t get enough of his sister. His smiles were THE best, and worth the wait for sure! And now I know the trick to cracking those hard smile cases: do my deepest man voice and say “Wilson!!!”

Here are just a few from my very fun shoot with the Pedreiro family…
Oh, sweet Kenzie! You and your eyelashes are just the most darling combo!
“Wilson!!!”
Gosh, his chocolate eyes melt me…
The sweetest…
Cassidy’s sisters popped by the shoot for a bit and it was so fun to grab a few of the three of them together, especially since their sister Whitney was visiting all the way from Oklahoma AND expecting her first baby!!! A boy!!!
How gorgeous is this mama-to-be?!? Whitney was in California for a few days for a shower to celebrate her baby BOY on the way, and I’m so we were able to capture a few of her and her sweet baby bump!
Can’t wait for you to meet your little one!!!
Oh sweet Eli, you and your foot up might be my favorite!
Meanwhile, across the way, Kenzie was getting her dad to dance with her. When she spotted me with snapping a few…someone got a little camera shy…
One of my favorites of these two…
Light + love. Two of my favorite things to photograph.
Hands down, one of my faves of this sweet family together!
