They met on a blind date…well, kind of. Erin was a senior in high school, and in an effort to make prom bigger at her school, students were encouraged to ask students from other schools. So a mutual friend invited them to the Clovis rodeo to meet, so Jacob and Erin were introduced and immediately hit it off. He was reserved about the whole prom thing, but Erin remained determined and assured him he would be a great prom date.

Later that May, after only their second date, Jacob told Erin he knew what he’d be getting her for Christmas. And that…changed her view of him from just a prom date to something more. They both graduated that spring and went to college, Erin moving to Ohio and Jacob staying in California. Even then, Jacob made time to call her every day, making the distance between them lesser. But after two years and almost 2,000 miles apart, it was clear that Erin’s heart was in California, with Jacob. She transferred schools, returning to the city they first met.

It was no surprise when Erin said yes!!! to Jacob’s marriage proposal shortly thereafter, on a mountaintop at his family’s ranch. Together, they’re planning to wed this May in her hometown, so it was the perfect place to capture their engagement session and love!
The weather leading up to the engagement session was crazy stormy, so I was so thankful when the winds calmed and clouds parted for the session!
The light was beyond perfect and seemed to only illuminate the love these two share!
These two…I mean…
One of my faves!
After a few portraits, Erin changed outfits and we headed dockside!
Another favorite!
Erin, you gorgeous!
Lovelovelove the pink dress!
So honored and excited to capture these two saying “I do” come May!!!!
