He was her brother’s roommate at Gonzaga. And she was, according to her brother, “off limits” to his friends. Everyone knew Kenny and Melissa had a thing for each other, but they remained friends, just friends, for her brother.
Several years later, Melissa had moved to Seattle and Kenny went to visit. They knew there was something between them, and decided it was worth looking into. A few months later, Kenny moved to Seattle, and the rest, they say, is history.
Melissa jokes her brother said Kenny wasn’t allowed to date her, he would just have to skip to marrying her. Good thing, because Kenny and Melissa will be getting married later this year! I’m incredibly excited to photograph their wedding this fall, and loved getting to capture their love in the blooms!
I first met Kenny and Melissa for coffee at Chaps, and was SO excited to learn Melissa had attended the same college (PLNU) as me!
Melissa had mentioned doing engagement session in the cherry blossoms, and I’m so happy she did!
I met them at the beautiful Cherry Hill Orchard up in Green Bluffs, and it was MAGICAL!!

After the blooms, we headed to downtown Spokane, and ended our session at the place where Kenny proposed to Melissa…
