A Rustic Central California Wedding: Nic + Rachel

Where do I even begin with this beautiful wedding day?!? Nic and Rachel got married on his family’s cattle ranch in Merced, California with the most personal and thoughtful celebration. Not only was the setting beautiful, but the entire day was such a perfect representation of THEM as a couple. From the family’s brand on the invitation, to the cowhide backdrop at the reception (a nod to the family business), to the ‘something blue’ embroidered in the lining of the bride’s dress, the day was full of sentimental details!

I have so many favorite moments from this day! I think my absolute favorite was when Rachel’s dad saw her for the first time in her wedding dress. Even when I spoke with him the day before where we would meet for this moment, he started tearing up at just the thought of it. Throughout, it was SO very clear how loved these two are by their family and friends. I am still smiling thinking about their bridal party, who quite literally, were the couple’s hype team THE entire day! They cheered for every pose and kiss Nic and Rachel did, and even helped me with the veil shots – It was AMAZING!

These two, the way they love each other, it’s incredible. What a gift and privilege and JOY to capture this wedding day!
