They were both members at the same gym in town, and would even play an occasional game of pickup basketball together. Justin started to ask his gym buddies about Valerie, this girl who had caught his eye. He was intrigued, and wanted to get to know her more.

Over the next two years, the two became friends…and then, more. Much more. Best friends, biggest supporters, encouragers, and teammates in life. I just couldn’t imagine life without her, he said, that’s how I knew.

Five years later, along the turquoise waters of Lake Tahoe, Justin proposed to Valerie. I am beyond excited to capture their wedding this spring at their home in California, surrounded by their friends and family (and fur babies!) Their love is infectious, and I’m so excited to share a few of my favorites from my engagement session with these two lovebirds!
