Zach and Lydia had planned to have their big, dream wedding at the Lavender Manor on July 26, 2020. Like so many, their plans were majorly shifted when Covid-19 hit. Even with all the uncertainty and ever-changing restrictions, one thing remained certain for these two – their desire to marry the love of their life! So they decided to move to a Plan B, and planned an intimate family gathering at the groom’s family residence in Sunnyside, Washington.

It was such an honor to capture this wedding, and most especially, the love Zach + Lydia share! While the day may have looked different than the original plan, it felt incredibly special. Lydia wore her Grandma Lladeene’s wedding band and carried Zack’s Grandma’s hanky around her bouquet as she walked down the aisle with her dad. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony as Lydia’s dad officiated, their siblings read Scripture, and both families shared communion with the bride and groom standing under the canopy of trees in the backyard. And as Zack and Lydia said their “I Do’s, friends and family from Seattle to Spokane, and all the way from Michigan to CA zoomed in to watch. The celebrations continued with dinner and dancing and…a surprise visit from the family’s beloved llamas, Chewy and Shalom, who came dressed for the occasion! The evening ended with a sparkler exit and everyone cheering for the new Mr. and Mrs. Halma as they drove away in the groom’s decorated (surprise by friends!) car.

What a JOY to witness and capture this wedding! Truly, a day I will never forget! Zack and Lydia, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding day, and for the honor of capturing your amazing love!
