Oh my goodness, this winter elopement was definitely one for the books! It was like straight out of a Hallmark movie! And the best part? It was REAL! I literally had to keep pinching myself throughout the day because it was so magical!
Jake and Kara had originally planned their wedding for Hawaii, but then the pandemic hit last year, and they decided to postpone. After numerous date changes, they decided to move things closer to home. To Leavenworth, the place where Jake proposed.
With her dad by her side, Kara walked (in her snow boots!) to the man that had stolen her heart many years before. They promised forever in front of their closest friends and family, and cheersed with flutes of champagne, from a bottle that had chilled in the snow. The celebration continued as they headed to Blue Spirits where Jake planned an epic surprise for his bride, and sang Kara their song “Starting Over” by Chris Stapleton.
Jake and Kara, thank you for allowing me to be part of your family for the day. It was such an honor to photograph your wedding, and I’m excited to share a few of my favorites!
Absolutely gorgeous in her Honest in Ivory gown!
The florals from Loves Me Flowers were pure romance!
One of my faves!
Time to get these two hitched!
The flower girls took their flower throwing very literally!
After some bubbly, guests headed to Blue Spirits where the celebration continued!
Tears filled her eyes as she swayed to the music and sang with him, “It don’t matter to me, wherever you are is where I want to be…”
Best. Day. Ever.
