I first met Avery for coffee at the Little Garden Cafe down the road. I instantly felt like we had been friends for years, as we chatted for hours about traveling and life. Her smile grew as she talked about Joseph, when they first me, and when she would see him next. Joseph was stationed in Kansas, and they’d be long distance until their wedding later that year.

Meet Maverick, a senior at Mt. Spokane High School and a soon-to-be graduate of the Class of 2023! I had such a BLAST documenting this exciting time of his life!

We met up in downtown Spokane, on a basketball cout, which was the perfect location for this 6’5’’ senior, who spends most of his days on the court! The skies were slightly overcast as music billowed from the shiny airstream parked out front. As I came to say hello, I could see Katie and her bridesmaids dancing and singing inside, and I knew immediately it was going to be a fun day! And it was! From the minute I arrived to the last hug goodbye, this day was a DREAM!

With school starting up again, it feel like summer is coming to an end. But my heart is not quite ready to see this season go, and I’m hanging on to all the things that make me love this time of year – staying light longer, fresh nectarines, dinner on the BBQ, mowing the lawn, and…capturing sessions on warm summer nights!

I don’t even know how to begin about this amazing day! From my first time chatting with Justin and Valerie, I knew I wanted to work with them. They are two of THE kindest, most genuine people. Not only that, they are ADORABLE together! Their love has this magnetic putt that draws you in, and makes you want to stick around.
